Event - Nursery and the Great Outdoors!

May 2015

During the summer term Nursery have been learning about the importance of taking care of living things and the environment.

As part of our topic we went on a mini-beast hunt around the school, unfortunately we didn't find very insects so we decided to make a mini-beast hotel in the Early Years garden to encourage more mini-beasts to visit us.

At the end of our project we were very lucky to get a visit from John the Reptile Man who showed us a selection of the different animals he looks after; we were even able to hold and stroke some of the different animals he had brought with him!

We found some snails and woodlice under a log in the playground.

We collected lots of sticks to make our mini-beast hotel.

We worked together to build our mini-beast hotel.

Some of us were brave enough to have the snake put around our neck!

We met Tiny the baby giant tortoise.
