Event - Health and Safety Day

18 October 2012

As part of the school council I am happy to report that Health and safety day was a good day. It encouraged us to be healthy. We learnt how to cook healthily and learnt about our teeth. We also learnt how to exercise and become fit in a boxercise class.

One of the highlights of the day was 'Skip To Be Fit': competition when people compete against each other to see who can do the most skips. One of us in 6D won a t-shirt!

Year 6 explored different ways to keep fit and had great fun taking part in a Boxercise class.

The Expo-chef came to visit; Year 6 learnt how to make a healthy omelette.

Stirring the pasta for our expo chef.

Year 3 learnt how to cross the road safely.

Year 2 made healthy smoothies with fresh fruit.

Class 1S we had a visit from PCSO Kelly from Castle Vale Police Station.

Class 1E had a visit from the Firemen.

Reception were very excited to learn about Fire Fighters.
