Event - Year 2 Visit Selly Manor

9 February 2016

On Tuesday 9th February Year 2 visited Selly Manor, a Tudor building and museum in Selly Oak, Birmingham.

During the visit we learnt about how the house had been built and what material had been used, this developed our learning about the Tudor buildings we had learnt about at school.

Whilst we were there we also got to find out about Tudor life and what it was like to live during this time. We tried on Tudor costumes and played Tudor games. We had lots of fun and learnt so much about older buidings.

What a great day!

We enjoyed learning about the furniture and how it was used during Tudor times.

We helped Nicky to set the table and learnt what Tudor people ate and drank.

Learning what the Tudors slept on and why there was a 'chamber pot' underneath the bed!

We enjoyed dressing up in Tudor costumes and playing with olden toys.
