SEND Information: Special Needs Offer

From September 2014, all schools are expected to publish information about their provision for special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

This includes the 'Local Offer', which helps parents/carers understand what services they and their families can expect from a range of local agencies. It should help them understand how the system works, and how the local authority, local area and the school will support both the child and the family.

Key Staff - Inclusion Team

The Inclusion Team consists of:

  • Ms Ali-Gobern is the Special Needs Co-ordinator.
  • Mrs Paul is the Class teacher in the resource base and Phase Leader for KS1.
  • Mrs Lovell is the lead practitioner for Autism Spectrum Disorder – her role is to support staff with practical classroom strategies and to support children with social skills, organisation and communication difficulties.
  • Miss Williams is Assistant SENCo supporting children with language and communication difficulties.
  • The SEN Governor is Alison Sturgess.
