Paget Primary School, Paget Road, Pype Hayes, Birmingham

Year 6

Welcome to Year 6.

At Paget, it's our mission to enable children to go out into the world and make it a better place. Year 6 is the final hurdle in getting our learners equipped and ready to make a difference to themselves and the world around them!

Year 6 is an extremely important year for our pupils as they prepare to face the challenge of the SATs. We equip our learners with what they need to tackle the SATs by taking part in meaningful and purposeful learning that is useful in everyday lives. This is so pupils can then put this learning into SATs to solve the problems that they give.

Our balanced curriculum is extremely fun, lively, full of different things to the suit the varying learning styles that children have.

We are very proud of the level of responsibility that our pupils take on in Year 6 including, amongst other things, librarians, Chair of school council and house captains.

Year 6's prepare for an end of year residential that makes for an excellent reward after working so hard for SATs. They also put on a fantastic end of year performance.

Above all, we aim to ensure Year 6 is a fantastic final year for Paget learners so they can look back in many years' time with lots of fond memories!

The teaching staff in Year 6 are Miss Robinson, Mrs Farrelly, Mrs Sandford (Class Teachers), Mrs Murdock and Miss Willner (Teaching Assistants).
